Default Vega

Name:Vega Alberta

Camping:yes

Price:free

Map: close to westlock from my place you go north down hwy 2 and follow the signs to westlock

Hours:anytime

Type of riding allowed:anything but mostly dirtbikes and quads.

Additional Info:On the way there you will see signs for a ferry to cross the athabasca river (I think) this is the way there. the ferry is cool and it has some historical value because the arn't to many left in alberta. anyway after the ferry you will drive down the road a ways, notice when you get off the ferry the sign says its a secondary highway and no offroad vehecals aloud, and you will see to your right a large sandy hill. It is called "the widowmaker", but i didn't make it my first time and im still here, if you have a good tire on your bike you'll make it. the running start to this hill is the secondary highway, which is a dirt road but a highway no the less, when i crossed the road and didn't make the park ranger was waiting for me at the bottom with a $115 ticket in his hand. He said if you have no insurance and regestration they inpound your bike. lucky for me i had my paper work in order. to make a long story short after a got my ticket he let me try the hill again and i made it no problem but it sure wasn't worth $115 bucks!!!! Vega has all kinds off trails made of sand, muskeg,
dirt, mud.. whatever you get it. its one of the best places i have gone so far and i highly recommend it.

well finally done working out of town sorry i couldn't make x-country ride but i'v been in bonnyville for the last 24 days. Cadomin sucked right from the start!!! My truck broke down right on the way out of town so that right there should have been enough reason to go back home but im a trooper. we got it towed to the local canad tire and loaded anouther truck up. The drive was like three hours so by the time we got there it was almost time to leave. we tooled around for a bit and had to go home unsatified. We saw a lot of good looking trails from the road but were unable to ride any of them.
