Default Lower NY riding spots

Ugh, I'm so fed up with ths area! It seems like there is no place to ride anywhere around here.
I live in Westchester County and the closest riding spots that I know of are in Modena and thats pretty far. Does anyone know of any riding spots in and around Westchester County? Any help is much appreciated!

EDIT: Also, does anyone know if ATV New York (Lembo Lake) closed down? I heard they were being forced to shut down due to all the recent accidents and deaths there

I live in Onandaga county in New York, and I have found very few good riding spots. There are two good ones which I have ridden at: Altmar, which is in upstate New York and Paragon Adventure Park which is in mid- Pennsylvania, Hazleton to be exact.

Altmar is a nice place with about 35 to 45 miles of trail. This was enough for me for a couple days of riding. However, you have to belong to Trailpass in order to ride in this area. You might be firmiliar with Trailpass; it is a north-east system of trails. You have to buy the pass for 75$ per machine per year but there are many places you can go at no extra cost once you have the pass. There are 15 riding areas that belong to the Trailpass network. Heres the website: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Paragon is an awesome place to go to. There is over 150 miles of trail on like 15000 acres of land. The terrain ranges from gravel roads to rocky trails. Its a great place to check out if you have the time.: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

As far as "ATV New York", yes i have heard that ther are closing because they are no longer a member of Trailpass

I hope this helps

Mike

Unhappy Re: Lower NY riding spots

Thanks for the help!
Unfortunatly, Paragon is 164 miles from my house and is a 2 hour and 40 minute drive
I've looked into Trailpass but there is nothing in the Hudson Valley area or any area close to there.
There is one spot 45 minutes away that I've been to twice so far. I'm not sure of the legality but I've never had or heard of any problems with it and on a good day, there is a ton of people who ride back there. It's in Maybrook New York. I guess I'll go up there and ride some time this week. There really is no place to ride down here anymore.

yea Maybrook New York is good but i heard police are cracking down on the riders there. I've been there a few times and its really good for trail riding. Also ATV New York i heard it was a death trap people crashing into each other because of the narrow trails and crazy intersections.
