My son and I ride TNT mostly, but this past week said he wants to ride somewhere different this time. We've ridden CAW once in the past and it was ok, but have heard lately that it's a rocky mess. We usually just ride moto but will have a newbie with us this time so might need a trail.

Coming from Charleston, SC and have one kid playing hockey tournament in Charlotte so looking for somewhere on or near that route.

I dont know how far Taylorsville NC is from Charlotte, but that's where Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park is located.

It wasn't worth it. Paid $40 for son and I and stayed maybe 45min. Too nasty of track. Would be dangerous if hitting it hard. Bad ruts, the rocks are huge problem and the neglect is obvious. It's a shame because it could be a decent track. If someone needs a job, ask them to hire someone who can put some care into the track. They would have much better turnout. I won't go back until it is fixed.

We packed up and rode to TNT which was a good decision for the day.

I used to be the track man for CAW but because of there lack of consideration for the riders is why I had to quit. I tryed to no avail to get that track up to par, but was never givin the oportunity to finish anything. I built the big step-down, I also was working on making it national ready but they backed out of that to.

Glad to here you are going to TNT I hear she is a good track owner.

I see this is an old thread; can anyone give the current conditions at CAW? We are planning to ride either there or DTP on 6/19, but CAW is much less out of the way for us. It would myself on the YZ, my novice rider wife on her DRZ and my five year old PW50 rider.
