I'm not for sure that I'm gonna go ridin or not. I've had a lot of family stuff going on lately, and I never know how much free time I'm really gonna have.

Should be good riding weather this weekend...don't let rain scare you, we've been so dry that a little rain will IMPROVE riding conditions.

Woops didn't read that last last message before posting. The other place I was thinking of was the track near Charles City.

FOOLS!!!

Let me know where you're going too. I was thinking either the Pits or Oskaloosa.

BTW IMX is indeed open again this year, practice on saturdays and races on sundays.

Is IMX going to update their website?

I would do either Oskaloosa or the pits but I haven't been to the pits yet.

ya the one at my hometown near charles city has some massive jumps, ones that scare the living bajeezus out of me. Ill call my parents and see if they can send me some pictures so you can get an idea of what im talking about. Where i wanted to go this weekend was the pits in Waterloo, but im not sure if i could go being that I havent registerd my bike with the state cause the years almost over.

If anyones been up there that could let me know plz do. Im still trying to find a way to get my bike around this weekend cause my friend is using the trailer for some stuff.

PS - I bought something that everyone is gonna think is funny as hell for out at 600 acres, 1989 caddy seville a little body dmg to the drivers side otherwise in good condition. My friend and i are gonna make a video when we take it out there and demolish it. Not bad for 50 bucks and runs good. Its even got some ghetto 3 spoke chrome rims on it

That sounds classy :

You don't need to worry about your bike being registered. I've never seen anyone check, in the 3 years I've been riding at the pits. So, you can go even if your bike isn't registered.

I more or less wanted to go to the pits this weekend too. What day do you guys think you'll go??

Yeah, I'd probably be all for it. Earlier today is better for me, or anytime tomorrow.

Take it from me, don't plan your rides around weather forecasts in iowa. The weather is too unpredictable around here for that.
(read: Denny Frary has no idea what he's talking about) Plus, like I said, anything short of a long downpour is going to help riding conditions this weekend!

Well I raced at FarleyMotorsportsCenter last Saturday night.

Lesson #1
Better have new tires cause it slippery and turning is critical on such a small track.

Lesson #2
Arena cross is a lot more tiring than you would imagine.

It was fun though and I plan on going again soon.

I've had several opportunities to ride there over the past few months, but have been too busy to go each time. I haven't ridden since that HS I think

Glad you liked it though!!!

The first HS of 04 is Feb 29th, not that far away...we should try to organize some rides early next year...

Sure, What is your lower limit as far as temps go. I would certainly go when whether is 50+. My forks are still leaking from Atallisa.... HS always tear my S(&*T up :|. I need to get some handgaurds also if I plan on doing any more next year. I am thinking of buying some of these [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
