Default Info on N. Tx MX tracks

Info on tracks in N. Tx. Im looking into going to these local tracks and was wondering if any of you guys have ever been here or know what im talking about??

Weatherford MX: Just recently reopened and under new managment. Supposedly going to be a "night only" track. Located in Weatherford Tx.

Walnut Creek MX: This place opened in Feb. A practice only track open 7 days a week 9-dark. I hear this is a great track to practice on. located in Springtown Tx. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Jack Barnetts: Another track that is open all week long, entry fee is $5.00!! I heard that this place is a great place to ride as well. Located in Denison Tx i believe.

McAfee MX: I heard from one person that this is a pretty cool place to ride. Thats all i have heard about it. Located in Greenville Tx. i believe. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Diamond S Cycle Ranch: This place is building a MX track as we speak. They have been working on it for some time now. Other than that they have some pretty sweet places to ride trails and stuff like that. Located in Graham Tx.

And ofcourse you have Village Creek, Nocona, Holeshot Valley Mx, and Oak Hill. If any of you guys know any info on these places or know of any other that would be great.

McAfee's is good when he preps and waters it, which doesn't happen very often. But it's still pretty good to practice on. It's always open practice, too. It's about 35 mins north of Denton near Lake Kiowa. Shannon takes a lot of students there to mix it up a little, our track gets 'old' to the boys that stay a week at a time...

Barnett's is an old track and not maintained anymore.....not the best place to go.

Mcafee's is not a whole lot better. The track layout and jump faces are bad. It is clear it was not built by an experienced track builder.

In North Texas you have Village Creek ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ) and NoconaMX ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ). Both of those tracks are very good...Nocona being my favorite.

You may want to check out Holeshot valley ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ). A few ATMers go there and like it ok....kinda hard pack though.

Also there is Badlands although it is not open much. New tracks like Buffalo Creek are around but I have not been to it yet.

Oak Hill......better be on your A game if you ride there....this is a serious track.

Hey guys thanks for the info. I have not been to nocona or vc yet and caint wait to go, i have been to holeshot quite a few times and i used to love it, however the last time i went i was not too happy because of the hardpack and DUSTY from the fourwheelers. Maybe i went at the wrong time i dunno.

There are 3 more tracks in the Sherman area. North Forty is slightly north east of town off Rt82, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. This is a nice track and well organized. There is another track a little further east of there on Rt82 in the big town Savoy called North Texas MX, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It is almost downtown. Go to the main redlight and ask for the track at the convience store. It is less than a 1/2 mile from there. There is another new track that just open up south of Whitewright close to the intersection of 69 and 121. They have a web site also, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
