Default Beaver Oklahoma

I was just wondering if many poeple go to ride in Beaver, OK. I am going to go this weekend with the girlfriend. She has been before but this is going to be a new experience to me.

Just thought that I would see what others thought of the riding.

Yeah they said it is mostly dunes and a few sandy trails in the back. I dont know it should be fun. I am always up for a new experience. I have heard that the dunes are hard to ride in but I think that it would be fun anyways. Gotta learn sometime.

Update:

We had a great time on the Dunes. I put a paddle on the back of the YZ250 and it ran like a champ. The grounds are very nice there is a nice paved parking lot for day riders, a tent camping area (I believe at the lake), A nice little lake that can be ridden by trails or driven to by paved roads, and a nice overnight area with electral and water hookups and bathrooms with showers in them. It was $5 a day per person to ride and the RV area including hookups was $14 a night per campsight.

The riding was a blast too. There was some large and small dunes to start and one nice dune to climb, followed by a lot of trails that lead back to more dunes in the rear. The only down side after not being there 20 minutes was two guys on quads that started talking trash about me being on a bike and asking me if I was lost. On the up side I kept my cool and just went on my way and shortly after that we meet a huge group of people that camped next to us that were extremely nice and just wanted to have a good time.

Overall, it took me a little bit to learn how to ride in the sand, but we had a great time and cant wait to go back.

One more down side, we had some disposable cameras with pics on them, but now they are no where to be found. So if we find them I will put up some pics.

I also have a quad and my girlfriend and many friends have them also, so no offense to the quad riders, except it sucks riding in their ruts in tight sandy trails. This place was mostly quads, and everyone but that one guy was nice, but he was just one of the locals that thought he owned the dunes. I thought it was pretty funny though, he was all talk on a new tricked out 450 that he couldnt even ride. I figured I was there with my girl and he had, well we all know where I can go with that, so I will keep it respectful and not.
