![]() I have been looking at different pit bikes for a few days. 1. What does a pit bike start out as? From what I have found out it can be any bike, Honda50, PW50 what are some of the other ones people use to make pit bikes? Are there some hgood sites that any one recomends for a DIY type thing. 2-stroke or 4-stroke? Thanks Kris |

![]() well the majority of pitbikes today are mostly honda CRF50's, though now yamaha has entered the market with the TTR-50, both can be pimped ALOT for the the best of the best hop up parts, id suggest BBR, BBR the bikes that they build start out as CRF/XR 50's and turn into full blow fire breathing machines! i know i guy that test rides for BBR, hes scared him self many times on those bikes, the make from full aluminum parimeter frames to aluminum shifter levers, their bikes can cost over 10K easily, its insane BBR makes most of thier pitbike stuff for hondas, only because the TTR50 just came out for 05', but if you go the TTR50, check out GYTR (Genuine Yamaha...TR) yamaha makes all thier own pitbike stuff, my local yamaha dealers all have one GYTR'ed TTR50, thier pretty sweet! |

![]() I have owned a xtrem, and a pister pro. The pister pro was a alsome bike hard to brake and alwas ran hard. I had a hard time trying to keep the xtrem going, the pister pro was alot faster to, and had a well built motor. |
