Default Last ride of the year

We just got back from a last-chance snowmobile ride in Winthrop, WA. Yes, my sled ran and no, it didn't blow up But it wouldn't idle right and didn't run very well I'll have some pics tomorrow, we only got to ride about 40 miles because the snow was so wet and melting fast, we didn't try for a second run. Pics coming tomorrow...

The YZF is coming out as soon as I flush the brakes with fresh fluid, change the oil, and install the 450 cam

Finally, here are the pics from our last ride on March 17, 2004. Enjoy!

View of the North Cascades from one of our rest stops

My father-in-law and I at the same rest-stop, he's 70 years old and still sleds with us every year! He has even shown us young kids a thing or two on occasion!

Aspen trees bent over from the weight of the snow

The "big hill"- the pics don't do it justice! It was about 60 degree slope, but a lot of fun to play on!

Amanda's sled stuck on the big hill, about 1/2 way to the top

My sled stuck on the hill- I actually made it up almost to the top, turned to help out Hugh (father-in-law) but my sled wouldn't stay put without me on it, so I rode back down and got stuck trying to come up again

Hugh's sled stuck near the top of the hill- I was stopped about 6-8 feet right above him before I went down and got stuck trying to come back up

Close-up of Hugh and Amanda digging his sled out

My wife (cowgirlona125 here on the forums) and I after descending the hill

Hugh and I after descending the hill

Crappy pic of me turning coming up a hill

Me somewhat layed-over coming up a hill
