All I can say is you are asking to get hurt badly unless you have tried in a foam pit? I think you haven't so I wouldn't do it. I think FRMX (freeridermx magazine) had a DVD out and it features them backflipping mini's into a foam pit. I would check it out before trying and of the FMX stuff.

If I were you and I was getting ready to try a backflip. I would jump into ether a foam pit or a good PILE of soft dirt.

Two inches of soft dirt will feel like concrete...I know from my own experiences. I'm sure I'm not the only one here.

as i have said before its not gunner be hard and fast, and no one has a foam pit in cairns, plus ill be the only one in cairns to pull one.

And the FRMX DVD is what inspired me to do it.

First I would dial it on a bicycle. I can't see the pic of your ramp. From what I have seen on TV, all I know is this: the ramp has to be made just right for flips, and it is very hard to do without coming off of the bike.

i used to have the same dream as him..lookin at a jump with soft dirt to land and all that stuff and wanting to pin the throttle and pull on the bars as hard as i could and hope i make it but then i opened my eyes and realized id rather be able to throw my leg over my bike at anytime and ride then to be stuck in a hospital with broken bones or worse, though it seems backflips seem to be getting less scary with all the crazy stuff pro fmx'ers are doing nowadays
