I put some miles on a buddy's M7 this year. (and will again this next weekend) All I can say is there's a reason it was voted the #1 sled of the year by at least one of the ragizines. It's a really nice sled! Great power and traction and pretty good in the bumps, but doesn't corner as well as others in our group. (most mountain sleds don't) The weight and narrow tank/seat combo is what I noticed the most.
Right now all the brands are making good products if you buy a sled intended for what conditions you'll be using it.

arctic cat has the 660 turbo trail for stroke. yamaha is heading in the right direction but they need to loss some wait because there sleds all weigh in the region of 550 pounds.

my uncle just got the rx 1 there sick. but very top heavy flip real easy.. he took me up to his house he got like 5 sleds we went on like a 130 mile run . i was riding his v-max and he was riding the rx 1... the v max is a sick sled to.

a tuned v max 4 was a wicked sled in a straight line!
Hmm I guess the RX-1 is also...
