Default Hinson Slipper Clutch

Well after some extensive testing of the new Hinson Slipper, all I can say is "fantabulous"!
Very well made...super easy to install and adjust...flawless performance. You can change the release spring in less than 6 minutes at the track. And you dont have to disassemble the entire clutch to do so.
Want to check or change your plates? 6 5mm bolts and voila!
Worried about loose balls? The ball and ramp is unitized...don't worry about it.
You would be surprised if you knew how many riders at a SX or MX were lining up with a slipper in place!
FFR rating...10 sup: WAY UP! Tdub

I had an offer from a club member to buy a rekluse for a song to put on my new 450. I have been thinking real hard about that. So my ears are open to this Hinson also!

Tryce will correct me here,,the slipper "releases" at predermined points when you backoff the throttle to reduce the engine braking effect. It actuates with the handle just like a standard clutch does, so clucthing is normal.

makes it more "two-stroke" like in regards to engine braking...in other words....LESS engine braking.

I would love to try one out.

Somewhere I have a drill bit with a facing attachment built into it for drilling heads to install a compression release which we used to make out two strokes act more like a 4 stroke where compression braking is concerned. How times change. FYI with the light rotors and flywheels on these newer type 4 strokes, I am sure I would like that clutch.

The Main reason these clutchs are used is to eliminate rear wheel chatter with hard braking. They are adjustable to where you can limit the amount of "slip" it allows.
You can be going flat out in 5th gear and slow for a corner downshifting at the same time...like 5th to first...without wheel hop or chatter. Tdub
