There is no air fuel screw, just a fuel screw. It's in a recessed hole just north (toward the engine) of the float bowl drain plug.

Do I need to screw it out for more fuel then or do I need to go in?

Fuel Screw:
Clockwise = Leaner
Counter Clockwise = Richer

It controls the amount of fuel allowed to pass.

Is it possible that the hole is plugged from the factory?

It could be possible that the factory installed some type of plug to deter people from messing with it. A photo of the underside of the carb would help if possible.

On the Z400 there is a black cover over the fuel screw, you need to pull that off.

Thanks Chase. I was going to do that, but it looked like he was getting a fair amount of help out in the general forums.
