I got a 1987 LT50 Suzuki that all the sudden devoleped a weak spark and wont start. I checked compression cold at 125 psi ,checked all wiring connections and grds, made sure on-off and tether kill swtich are working with ohm meter remove plug put fuel in cyl but wont even hit, new plug but still very weak spark. I know this is 32 yrs old but with a simple magneto ingniton are there a way to check the mag and ing coils with a ohm meter or what else can I be missing on somthing so simple? Thanks for any help at all !

Do an OHMs test on the primary and secondary side of the coil. ( Primary side needs to read more than 15. The secondary side needs to read less than 10.)
A dirty or rusted mount or ground will cause a weak spark.
Check the plug wire and plug clip as they get very dirty and corroded and this too will cause the spark to be weak.
The stator can be checked, but a manual will be needed.
