If it can really handle Gust, then that is definitely something to brag about.

2fun, it won't be shipping to dealers until February or so is the latest rumor.

accually, polaris came out with the predator sporting the FOX shocks. i think that is about as race suspension i have seen on a stocker. the 450r and yfz have pretty much the same thing (IMOP) just different name and rates. unless i am mistaken witch i probably am LOL

as far as the seat, nope, dont like it! the colors are just to far off. yes old school is sweet, but it is almost '06 and racers are into flashey anymore. i know i want something that looks good and runs better. no looks aren't important, it's how you win on it. at least the white one looks GUUUDDDDEEE i read in the dirt wheels mag that the price will be around that of a new 450r or yfz. if it will or not, i dont know and neither do they yet i guess. the exaust is nice where it is i think. i know on my 400ex when i was on those long rides like hare and hounds, or a fast paced mx race, my lag would heat up real nice. they supposedly used some of the design off of the rmz swingarm. i assume for the added structural support. the linkage is also a touch longer then the z/kfx 400's also. just for that extra travel. the front tires are for the whole MX-ey look and to help the racer save some dough. dont remember if the rears changed or not... i hope some of this or most is close to being right. i was trying to go off of memory from reading it 3-5 times. but since i have lost the DW issue, i had to wing it. dont go off of my words except for the pricing. if it aint right, well, SUE ME JK LMAO

The suspension on the LT450 is suppose to be a lot better then the suspension on the YFZ and TRX450R. ATV Sport has a write up in the Dec issue and Doug Gust is saying the stock LT450 suspension is better then aftermarket shocks. The rear tires 18s instead of 20s/21s like most other quads come out with. This is a total MX quad right off the showroom floor ... much more so then the YFZ or TRX450.

If the suspension is decent, the width almost by itself has me sold. I can't afford all that extra stuff (A-arms, axle, suspension, etc.). Hopefully it will be a good quad. It is one I will definitely consider when I go to buy again this next spring.

I agree, but as I did with the YFZ, I will wait awhile and see what and if anything is wrong with it. Also I will have to throw a leg over one to compare it!

I kind of like it my self too. That design allows for more travel in the rear I believe. Plus no more bent pipes from the brake caliper hitting the underside of the can.

Exactly. I had a big ding in the bottom of my pipe from my brake caliper. Of course only those who jump would notice.

I havent jumped to the point my pipe was in the way im not a PRO :-)

Then again, it is cool for me minus that feature but thats why there are all differnt types, not everyone will like them. I like my honda my raptor wasn't as easy to work on.

Luckily my pipe is a shorty or else it would be all jacked up too!

Raptors are a PITA to work on. It took my bro-in-law all day to change the clutch on his Raptor. Nearly had to take the entire engine out. You been out riding with the HH installed yet? I'm gonna be out at Sand Hollow over New Years, if your down that way let me know.
