needed.....lt250r frame

hey all. im looking for an 86 lt250r frame. i need one that is in real good condition. no cracks bends rust holes or new welds. anyone out there have one they would be willing to part with? i went out riding on sat and hit a basketball size rock that was in the middle of the trail. ended up bending the frame and lower a arm. can anyone help? thanks in advance.

My bro has a 86 that's almost complete minus a few bearings for the engine and plastics. He's completely gone through the whole thing. It's in great condition and everything is polished. Not sure what he wants for it. Where are you located?

He was working on putting it all together. It's been completely gone through. For about $400 he could have a screaming machine, but he wants a bike again. White Knuckle racing did all the motor work. You could probably score it pretty cheap.

It needs plastics and about $150 worth of bearings. It has a +6 swingarm, new pipe, and bars. The engine was 8 mil stroked instead of 4. He was having problems finding a piston that would work with the timing. It could be set back, and be up and running for a few hundred bucks. He's got alot of work in it. I would think he's probably part with the whole thing for $500. Maybe even less. He's hard up for cash all the time. I'll see what i can do.

Dont forget to post pictures of your quad when you are done we always like to see them. I have my 86 on the board in the gallery. That sounds cheap i am looking into buying one her in arkansas that is an 88 and needs as much work as loki's buddys and the 500 is a good price. Good luck finding a frame that doesnt have new welds thats rare they either have new welds or cracks that have been neglected.

Well that worked out slick. That sounds like a fairly good deal on that quad. Your frame is probably still salvageable. Have you talked to anyone who welds?

It was a smoking deal! My buddy wasn't doing anything with it anymore. He's got too many other projects going on. I was gonna buy it, and put it all together. Then I could torture him by bringing it into work in the back of my truck. I decided I'd pass. Plus I could hardly justify it to the wife. She wouldn't have been able to ride it.

if i have any parts left over ill let yall know. but i think im going to get my old frame fixed and put it back together as well. then id have two *****in quads. who knows though? only time will tell.
