| The Lt50's come stock with a restrictor between the intake and the cylinder and also in the exhaust where the pipe connects to the cylinder. Check and see if they have been taken out, if so your Suzuki dealer probably has a drawer full of them. I would put the intake in first and see if that cuts it down enough if not put both in. Another trick to do once she's ready for a little more power is to drill the hole out in the restrictor a little at a time until she's ready for the full power of the awesome LT50 power!! | The resrictors usually work just fine. You can make a throttle limiter really easily. One way is to cut the casing on the cable so that the throttle can only be lifted part way. FYI on those smaller ones, it seems the only way to limit top end is to limit the travel to no more than 1/2 of the travel. Anymore, and even though it takes longer to wind out, the smaller engines will do so if not under the load of a hill. The simpler way is to make a spacer out of plastic tubing to go into the slide cavity and around the cable as it enters the hole and keeper socket. Again, play with lengths until you get the result you want. Start long and you can cut it down without full disassembly usually. It is cheaper in the long run than cutting the cable housing,,then having a bunch of throttle play to deal with. So just get a piece of 1/8" inch tubing and cut it and run the cable through it and then into the slide. Is that coming across? |

| My one yr old won't stay off it, so I have to bring him around. Starting them early is going to bite me in the a** later! |

| Be sure that the rpm's come up enough to fully engage the clutch or you'll be buying clutch parts and that sucks. |

| Just like Ossa said, piece of hose over throttle cable at the slide inside carb. That's how I got my son use to using throttle control. I slowly took a little off here, and there until he was ready for the whole thing. |
