Default LT 50 oil tank and hoses

Hi Guys,
I am new round here and first of all I want to say it seems to me like this is a nice place and good people to share and learn.
I just got an old 85' LT50 and trying to rebuild it from some missing parts. The thing is that I have no idea how the oil tank hoses are connected to the pump and carb. I can't get this info anywhere, even in the repair manuals, there is nothing about hoses and their connections. It looks like this was all disconnected, but every maintenance manual mention its a kingpin. Thank you in advance to anyone with a comment.

Hey man, there are two things you can do.
The first option is to hook the Oil Tank back the way it comes from the factory. I had a hell of a time finding this info myself, but was able to obtain it from my local dealer. The top hose of the Oil Tank is simply a breather hose, so it connects to nothing. It just straps down to the frame. The bottom hose goes into the crank case, on the back top of the right hand side of the engine. (opposite side of the pull starter). There are special fittings you can get on line if you are missing them. Here's the link where I have been getting all my parts. Their pricing is half the cost then getting it from your local dealer. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The second option is to simply plug the oil pump with a cap, and pre-mix your own 2-stroke fuel, which is what most the guys do that run them un-restricted. It gives you better control of your performance based on your specific riding conditions and elevation.
I hope this helped! Let me know.

Thumbs up Thank You!

Hey SuperX,
It was from great help and crystal clear. It is really bad not even the workshop manuals have that basic information, regarding the hoses connection for example.
I did just like you said and it worked perfect! Your link is also very useful for me. Thank you again for taking the time to answer and if you don't mind I'll be asking you about anything else.
