1985 suzuki LT 50 running hot

Hi everyone I just got a 1985 suzuki Lt 50 its missing a bunch of things
and im piecing it back together I took a compression test and Im only get 45 psi it is how ever missing the air cleaner so i dont know if that has a lot to do with it or not it starts real easy bout 3rd pull first if it sets for a little I cleaned the carb changed the oil and plug but it seems to run hot and bogs when you go to wined it out kinda like the plug is fouled I took the plug out and its clean also i removed the plastic restrictor in the carb I guess what my question is, is that does it seem like the top end needs re built? my gas ratio is 2 1/2 oz to 1 gallon of gas

Well, from what I've learned so far, I'm pretty sure your compression should be up around 100psi. Mine was doing the same thing (aaround 44psi) until I put a new piston & rings in it, then it started right up 1st pull. Now I just can't keep it running longer than 20-30 minutes. Still trying to figure that one out. I hope that helps!
