Looking for a new quad to buy.

I'm looking at buying a new quad. First new quad ever, only had a used Suzuki about a year ago. Anyway, I'm looking at getting a Kawasaki 360 4X4 '03. Might jump it up to the 650 4X4 '03. Can get a good deal on either one of them. I'm looking at using it more for utility than just riding in the woods. But it will still be for fun too. Any concerns with this quad or year?

I owned a Priairie 650 and they are awesome four wheelers, I can't say anything bad about that machine. I also know somebody who rented out the Priairie 360's and he stopped because he had quite a few problems with them, but everything else I've read on it seems like it's an excellent machine. I put 2,500 miles on my Prairie 650 in 1 year and never had a single problem with it.

Yes, they are both Kawasaki Priairie's. Woody, said you "owned" one? Did you sell it? Also the guy who rented them, did the problems he have due to abuse from the renters? I'm putting my money down on Tuesday. Don't want something too big, but don't want something that can't do the job either. Kawasaki has just started a new financing program. 4.9% for the first 18 months then goes to 6.9% for the remainer. Better than Yamaha that jumps up to 17% after the promotion is over. Got to finish paying that one off fast.

Yes, he sold it. It was a rental machine. The 650 was a good bike though. I liked the twin cylendar, it made it really smooth.

Well, settled on the Praire 650 '03. Got good deal and took it out and had fun. Don't have a winch on it yet but that is a must. Almost got stuck in the mud yesterday, had to put it in 4 wheel and it climbed out like a trooper. Power to spare! Comfortable ride also. No problems climbing hills at all and the ground clearance was unbelievable. Really nice machine. It's a keeper.

I loved my 650, as stated by my bro, it was a rental machine, so it was time for it to go. They are awesome!! I'm sure it will do the trick for you.

The differential lock on the handlebars was cool too. I like that a lot better then having to stop and put it in. Made it a lot easier to use it when you needed it vs having to stop push the button and then go.

Only got to ride one time so far. Jobs and kids school sports are consuming a lot of time. This summer should be one great time. Looking through the "toy" magazine and see some things I want to get to dress it up. Winch being the number one priority. So many things to do and so little time. I want to ride!
