1993 Kawasaki Bayou 220 Stator

I have a 1993 Kawasaki Bayou 220 with a defective stator. I was able to find a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220 stator. The housing and insides look identical. The only difference is the 1993 stator wiring has 4 wires 2 yellow and black and red one. The 1996 stator has 3 yellow wires does anyone know if there is a conversion kit or a way to make this stator work on my 1993 ATV I hate to think I have to buy a 350 part for a ATV that is probably only worth 350 dollars. Any suggestions to make this work would be great.

I'm afraid there aren't too many people who would be able to answer that question unless they are used to working on specifically that machine and doing electrical work on it as well..

Just be careful of the advice and who you take it from.

I've found a lot of good info there on ATVs, but also a lot of mis-information.
