Titals on older a.t.c.'s

My state has a new law witch says I must title my bike so I can buy a orv sticker every year . problem is I have no title .I was needing to know did 1985 Honda a.t.c's come with a title?

First off, Not trying to be so harsh, Keep up with your English lit,( bone up on spelling) classes,but most orv's came with titles.or at least certificates of origin. if you don't have one,they are easy to get thru a title company But they might cost you 150.00 or so. Been there with a few cars in the past. Good luck.....Jerry

If that company doesn't issue Defective Title Bonds in your state, there should be a similar company in your state that will. Ccnut is right on the cost. They vary from company to company, got mine for $100- but they are all around the same range. Price goes by the value of what you're getting a title for. Under 6K (at the above place) is $100.

I dont know about your state, but in Arkansas you dont have to have a title for any atv older than '92, just a bill of sale or have the only claim to ownership. Check the way the law is written for your state.

I looked into this some more and the mvd , told me to bring the bike down for inspecting they run the numbers and if it checks out, Ill get a Arizona state title , a [no joke] medal R.V. plate to hang off the back.
