Hello Woody,Yes I have 2 of the 04 Predators.with the suspension prob, sounds like he had the shocks adjusted to far up,Ive got mine about 3 3/4 inches from the top of the screwon the front and the rear is about the same.mMy wife has a Troy Lee and I have a Regular one. we both love them as far as jumping I would have to say that they land flat and with little effort. We ride only on the sand tho and that makes a big difference. Good Luck

I must be posting wrong.... I have 2 04 predators,1 Troy Lee and the other is a regular 04.Soundslike your friend had the shocks adjusted to high. I run mine about 3 3/4 inches from the top of the screw. My Wife and I both jump ours and we havent had any problems.A yfz rider and a Raptor 660 rider preffered the Flight experience over theirs and the landing.. Good Luck

Welcome to the site!! I have heard excellent things about the softness of the suspension and I do agree they're probably an excellent dune machine. Hopefully I'll get to try one out some day.

A fellow Oregonian I see.
Welcome to the site!
I also only ride at the dunes. Maybe we could hook up for a ride sometime!
