02 scrambler 500 pops out of gear

Hopefully someone knowes what to do. it pops out of gear when you get on it. i tried unhooking the linkage and putting it in gear but it still pops out can someone help.

had a 400 sport doing same thing snap ring on main saft in trans came off leting sift dog not engage all the way noy bad fix 1needle bearing 1snap ring this was on a 98 model

when my 2001 scrambler did that it was just a linkage adjustment under the shift lever (automatic )

also inspect the shaft that goes into the trans at the top, if the orings and shaft wobble you may have an issue there. do you have oil that weeps from the top? my brothers did the same thing, and between the shift linkage and the orings it was enough to cause the shifting to not engage. also inspect the shift handle where it goes threw the plastic fender, if it rubs it may be causing the bar to vibrate the shifter to disengage.
