yzf 450 vs. honda 450 r ??

now i know lots of guys swear by either honda or yamaha, im just curious which bike, would win a straight out race,, and how they compare in the trails, the sand. ect...

in a strait out race, it is all the rider, the machines are too close to make one have a better advantage over the other, i think the real question is, of the two, what will be cheaper to own in the long run?

im gonna say that the yamaha would win but i guess it also depends on the rider skill

If both riders are equal, the honda is gonna win in a drag everytime. Honda always produce more hp.

well from the research ive done, the two bikes are about 10 pounds different, yamaha being heavier, but the yamaha is also fuel injected,.. the compression ratio is 12:1 for the honda and 11.6:1 for the yamaha these bikes are very closely paired when you actually look at them so i guess it would be fair to say that it comes down to the rider, but hows the ride, over bumps through the trail and such??
