Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been here. Just wanted to know what u guys think about wheel spacers. Are they pretty durable? I've been thinking on taking the cheaper route. Thanks!

They are durable but have a tendancy to induce 'bump steer'.

If you jump much. I would say NO! If you juust play ride and do alot of sliding it side ways I would say yes. On the front you will get some "bump steer" On the rear it will make it alot easyer to bend axle. My son-in-law put them on all the way around, and loved them untill he started jumping. Hope that helps.

I just started riding tracks and love it. Some jumping and I'm sure more will come in time. Bending an axle was my thought too, or the whole wheel falling off on a hard landing.

You should not have to worry about wheel falling off. The connection between the axle and spacer is good. remind me what type bike you ride. and how high do you think you are jumping.

I just added wider offset wheels to the front for dune riding, and there is noticable bump steer. My arms were sore after a couple hours of riding. The ties rod ends and a-arm bushings will wear quicker. A steering stabilizer will help the bump steer.

I ride a yfz. I'm not jumping very high I'm sure. Although while in the air it sure feels big! The biggest are t-tops maybe 30ft long. I'd say about 4-5 ft in the air.(So far). Yeah I was thinking about a steering stabilizer. There's just so much I want, but like most, I can't do it all at once. I have a buddy that just got an 07 yfz and has already spent about $2500 in extras. Must be nice!

Ok. If you would have said blaster, I would have said do it. But with it being a yfz I would save your money for a stablizer. You will get more use out of it. The yfz is already a good handling bike. If you are having cornering issues you may want to look into adjusting your suspintion. Just a thought You also may be able to just reverse your wheels and make it alittle wider.

Cool, thanks guys. Looks like I won't be getting the spacers after all. I guess it's not worth taking the cheaper route. I'll just have to save up for the wider and longer travel. Thanks again!

Did you try to reverse your wheels. I did that on the banshee before I bought new wheels. This gave me approx 3" in front and 2" in back. Now on the front I had to redrill the valve stems, but that was easy.
