Default NEW TOY!!!!!

Well almost... This is the raptor I've been trying to get. We decided to take eachothers bikes, and ride them over night, and come up with a verdict tomorrow. So far its lookin good, my friend likes the bike, and i love the quad. Now all I have to do is get my dad to love it.

What do your guys think???

I honestly think your bike is in better condition from the pics.

But I have no idea how each run.

But, I bet you could sell the quad for more cash than the bike.

seems like the raptor was er... in bad shape cosmetically but that can be taken care of.. just make sure the bike is in good condition within the engine, suspension, brakes, make sure the frame is not bent or anything else...
but on the other hand, your bike is in realy nice condition..

I tend to agree with storm.

Couple kwick ?'s

who maintained your bike?

who maintained this quad?

how often was your oil changed, filter cleaned, and chain lubed and so on?

how often where these things done to the raptor?

The raptors resale value is probably higher but it does appear that your bike was much better takin care of. I would hate to see you do the trade and then have the raptor show you how well it was maintained. I know it is easy to get excited about a trade for something you wan't but make sure you are getting a good bike. I once traded a pefectly good minitruck for a customized minitruck that only had a clutch issue. It then turned into a clutch, carb, crank, electrical, and ground effect issue. Basicly the truck was not right, and that is why the guy was so willing to trade for a simply lowered minitruck.

Just trying to help you make sure to get a fare deal.

i want the bike. There is more room to grow on the bike. Even when you are tired of the bike, it's a great pit bike. My chick has a raptor 350... it's cool.... for now. Both will be easy to sell but i would stick with the bike.

From the look sof the plastic and bars, he rolled it over.... Is that a stock pipe with baffel removed? Was it rejetted after wards? Check the bushings in the a-arms. Hold the tire on top, push the frame and pull the tire out. See if any of the bushings are bad. Do it to both sides. Also, grab the rear bumper and raise up and lower the back kinda quick to feel for and see if there is any play in the axle carrier. If any of these move, they need replaced. Were these pics taken after your ride? If not, he didnt take to good care of it. Motor looks real dirty with mud baked on the header pipe... I dont know man. I dont think I would really do it? Take your bike to a dealer and see what they would give you for trade in for a new quad if you want one that bad.

Well the dealer would only give me 1500 for my bike on a trade in, and I know my bike is worth more than that. The reason he wanted to trade was because his son has always wanted a bike, and I am way way to big for my bike. And yes i had just got done test riding it and it got a little muddy. The oil was changed once a month, and I know that he takes good care of it because he used to race, and he has 7 other quads that all run spectacular. I did all the maintenence on my bike, including the engine rebuild. that is the stock pipe with the baffle removed, and it has been jetted using dyno jets. The main reason I traded was for the resale value, I'm going to be needing a car in 6 months, and I can buy a junker for the price of the quad.

I took it out on a ride today, to see how it performed on the trails, and I was keeping the same pace as I was on my bike. It handled all the jumps I was brave enough to take it off of, and its stock suspension.

Sorry this was so long, just had alot to say.

a dealer will always charge you alot less than what the bike is worth... but if you ever decide to get a bigger bike trade in or resale value will always be higher for that raptor.. good luck

Why would someone spend so much money on doing up this quad for performance? and why does it look so rough now? been raced? Willing to bet this quad has had nerfs, hot pipe and a number on it at some point in its life. Hope you have a good run with it...

eh dosnt look to bad, I know the feeling about being to big on a bike, hell I was riding a cr80 when I was 5'8 and 180, but then ofcourse came the 250.
I still love to take the 80 for a rip up and down the roads now and then though.
