The oil was changed every 100 miles The tires are the Outlaw 26" MST (told me they had less than 50 miles on them) and this bike was adulted owned and barely saw any mud it was used for trails the only problem i have with this one is that i was told it was way to heavy and it would be near impossible to get it unstuck from the mud and that it gets stuck very easily and it dosent have a winch so that isnt a plus either but he wants it for 4000 also there was a recall on the Hondamatic Tranny and was replaced when the bike was one year old
and the other bike i can choose from is a 2000 350 rancher and all i no about this one is that it has mud bug tires the seat was just replaced and it comes with a 2500 pound winch and i also know that this wasnt adult ridden so it was abbused the guy even kinda hinted it was when he was telling me about it and he told me this one is really light and most of the time when he got stuck he just picked it up and moved it himself and he said he wants 2200 for this one
so can yall please help me out with all that expert advice i no yall have and tell me which one would be better for mudding |
The rancher didnt get good until 2001, when they made major changes front and bottom. They redid alot of stuff, and steering became a heck of alot more plush.
With the rudbicon, dont believe anyone who says it wasnt riden in the mud. IT WAS. hes got 26" on there if its bigger than stock, its harder on the equipment (which are also btw mud tires), and hes got a power kit for trail riding? Just take a real good look at everything. Run it and see if theres lots of smoke, maybe the motors going. Also lift the quad up on a stand or a stump, (front then back), and check the bearing in the wheel. To do this shake the wheel in and out and see if it has movement. They should all be solid. And if its in good shape. I think it would be a better deal than the 350.
VEry important note is to check the red plugs in the rims of the tires. ANd with a flashlight see if there water and mud inside. If so u would have to pull the drum and clean and reseal everything with waterproof grease.
Also check how many miles and hours hes got on it. For an 2002 or an 03, Anything over 3500 is alot for trail riding. Also check how well the frame is. The wear on them is a good instriment for determining how hard its been riden.
