I just want to know which one is faster. THE TRUTH! Not alot of rumors. I have never ridden a 300ex so I do not know, but I would like to know. Has anyone ever seen these 2 race against each other. Or raced one against the other?

Have never raced them side by side, but HAVE owned a Blaster, AND a 250X (close to a 300EX), and can say that (at least when piped), the Blaster was quite a bit faster (in the dunes anyway). On trails and woods, I don't know, but I do know that is it nice to have the torque of a 4 stroke for wooded areas, and trails and such.

i bet it would be pretty close becaause the Blaster class at the track is for blasters and 300ex's.

I rode with a 300EX when I had my blaster Stock for stock the blaster was just a few mph faster and accelerated quicker witch made it a lot harder for the 300 to play catch up. Handling the 300EX was better Comfort the 300EX was better Fuel milage the 300EX was better On smooth open trails the Blaster was quick and nimble on rough and bumpy trails the 300EX was better OVERALL stock for stock I would say the 300EX is a better trail bike but with better suspension the Blaster is the better Sport bike/ Race bike

In a straight out race, I would guess the Blaster would win. I have ridden both, just not back to back. The 300EX used costs twice as much as the Blaster and there is a reason for that. I think it's a much better all around quad.

i just sold my 2001 blaster about 3 months ago then i went and bought a 2007 300 ex. Two of my friends have blasters and i beat them easily every time on a drag, as well as on the track. but both are good reliable machines, the ex is just a little bit more rider friendly.

OT: My brother owned a Blaster and my Son owned one for a short while.. My brothers was ported, milled piped etc.. My sons was just milled to compensate for our high altitude. Both of them were unreliable.. We had to rebuild the top ends way to frequently(3-5 dune trips). I've heard people say that theirs were reliable, maybe we both just had bad luck with ours?

Welcome to Quote:
Thats a bit strange that they had to be rebuilt that often.... I had one for 2-3 yrs and it was very reliable. Had an FMF "Fatty" and a K&N airflilter, and it ran great! |

yes but dont forget if the 300ex was as light as the blaster it would smoke the blaster

Pretty even match. I've rode both, just like Woody but not back to back. I gotta give it to the blaster for a straight out drag race.
