Which thumper?

I have been looking at all the new 4-strokes since they came out. I am having a litle trouble deciding what to get. I was hoping I would be able to get some outside opinion. I currently ride a rm 125 and looking for a four-stroke 250. I heard a lot about the Honda but I still can't decide. I ride in the 125 C class, if that matters.

I have a crf250 and ridden it for about an hour and I love it. The power is so smooth and much easier to ride than a two stroke. I just got off of a cr125 and I like the 4 stroke power delivery much better. The Honda's ergonomics are right on and the suspension is phenominal. This bike is race ready right out of the crate. Well after all the lube and break in is taken cared of. The crf 250 has won all the motocross bike mag shootouts except 1, Dirtbikes. The only downside is the bottom end of the bike, which can be easily taken cared of by a new pipe. Plus the bikes look cool....My .2 cents.

The crf has been getting good reviews and its a great bike. Lots of power,

The yzf is 200 cheaper and is more like a 2 stroke, sorta. It has a bigger powerband hit, plus the most versatile motor.

1200. It has new seat cover/graphics, answer bars (not pro taper style), new rear excel rim, new sprockets...blah blah blah...i just dont have time to ride it with the new thumper in the garage!!!!

I have a CRF250 and find it has all the power needed. The suspension is great the bike is fast.

I got a YZ250F. It absolutely hauls. I love it to death. If you want smoother power get the CRF250F but if you want an explosion of power everytime you hit the gas get the YZ250F. Suspension/handling comparable on either one (04 vs 04 that is)
More of a matter of personal preference, I love the honda, I love the yamaha, I just like the yamaha's power delivery a little better, plus i got a KILLER deal on my bike (2500 with all upgrades listed)

So similar pick a brand or color, wont effect ur riding at all. But the yzf has the hard hit, crf smooth, thats the only thing u need to pick what u want.

CRF is getting rave reviews from those that own it.

Imahoot (my wife) has the RMZ250 and loves it. It definitely has some "first year" issues, but Suzuki has been good about issuing recalls to fix them.

My friend has the yamaha, and in a drag race ours are dead even. They are both great bikes, and it truly is a matter of prefrence on a few things. The power output is much different, but the drag race proves the harder hit on the yz doesen't necessarily make it faster. It's just a personal prefrence. I know the smooth power has made me a smoother rider. Coming off 2-strokes I like the thumpers through the turns and up the hills, but I miss the flickability off the jumps. When my friend rode mine he said he liked his engine better, but said that mine felt more comfortable. That is what most of the mags said. Both great bikes!!! Never ridden the green and yellow one.

I know the CRF has a much smoother power band the YZ. I couldnt belive how much more agresive my bro's YFZ quad was to my CRF450. You have to decide weather you want aggresive or not so agreesive if ya know what I mean.

Pick a color - They are all good! Go to the dealer that you feel gives you the best service and price.

The blue ones are definitely the prettiest! Also, one of my buddies has an '04 CRF450, and he rode my '00 426 and fell in love with it.

If you want the bike with balls get the the blue one. If you want to wear panties get the honda (the red will look better.)

Well it is a matter of how big your balls are!! If you want the baddest get the 03' YZ450, they tamed it down in 04.

You really cant beat the 03' or 04' CR450 (forgive me lord)
