Unhappy RMZ PROBLEMS

We are in need of any and all help with our RMZ250. The bike was running well and then the stator came loose from the cover and rubbed on the back of the flywheel. We fixed it and started having problems where we would ride 2 practices and then the bike wouldn't start for the 3rd. We would ride for 15 minutes and then it would pop and shut off like. We could get it started but when we rode it it would pop and backfire. We have changed the stator, flywheel, CDI box (3) and have swaped the coil assy. The plug is dark with a whitish tip. The pilot jet is a 42 ant the main jet is a 175, the needle is in the 3rd from the top and the air screw is out 2 turns. It has also had the valves checked and a new top end to no avail. We have been told that it could be the plug at the CDI end on the harness but I am tired of spending $$$$. Please help!!!!:

Don't suppose you fried something in the CDI when you shorted the stator. Check the coil too..
