If you are buying used, find one with low hours you don't want to get into an expensive rebuild. Pick a color, they are all good. I've had good luck with my nephews crf and lots of riding friends have had good luck with the blue ones as well.

RED is what i was thinking ive had them since i was little, but since thats all ive had i just thought about trying something diffrent possibly and was wondering if one brand had more cons than another? Also what modle 250 would be the best for me and how i ride, i ride mostly woods and a coulpe gravel pits, i tend to ride my bikes hard and ill pretty much jump anything so i need a modle that would hold up to my style of riding? any inputs would be great!

Hondas are nice, but then again i havent riden any thing else. the crf are really nice bikes both the R and the X. if you ride really steep stuff id say the crf x, its geared down a litte for greater torque. the x has lights and electric start, and kick. the R is only kick, its the race vertion, and noticably lighter.

I dont't know much about hondas, but I think that there was something with the 04 and 05 crf 250 I think it was something to do with the valves.

If ur going for something used a few years old then YZ250F without a doubt they're solid.. otherwise i'd go Honda, the new CRF's rule...

well the 04 honda's are solid bikes as well. the thing with them is they have stock tietameume valves, so ever 15 hours your "Soppost" to check them. but mine runs like a champ

hmm like i was saying sence i havent riden anything else, i can still give you something of intrest. hondas have pretty nice suspetion, they like high revs for a long period of time. or rather they can take it. also as the year of the bike goes up there are basicaly little improvments as they go on. Um, some cons maybe is that with the r, its a race bike, so you really have to be current with your hours on it, i dont know for any other bike. Hopfuly someone will help you out there. with my bike the honda people were telling me that every 15 hours you HAVE to check your valves. and every major ride you change your oil. major as in like a race day.

They are all solid bikes, pick a color. Personally I would keep to green, blue or Red myself. I have been told blue doesnt over rev very well, I have read red has valve issues, and to be honest I have never heard anything bad about Kawi, but I always buy blue. Just my preference. They seem to be the most reliable of all the bikes, but not really "the best" in the suspenion, power dept.

The 06 crf has the annoying bog unlike the 05. I had always been a Honda fan till we bought the 06...what a pile. Can't get more then 70 hours out of the valves (stock or KW'S). We purchased stock in Twin Air filters to keep the intake clean. Amsoil has made a living charging my credit card. The forks pop seals like it going out of style. Just trying to get my hands into the carb or pulling the air filter requires a degree in physics. Top speed sucks even geared taller.......Other then that its a great bike.

Suggestion....Go Blue
