HEY GUYS,
IM LOOKING TO BUY A 4 STROKE PREFERABLY A YAMAHA I REALY WANT A WR250 OR WR400-450 IM LOOKING FOR USED ONE BUT THEY SEEM TO BE A LITTLE OUT OF THE PRICE RANGE FOR THIS SPRING I FOUND A 1986 TT350 REALLY CHEAP AND IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. IM AN AGRESSIVE RIDER RACED MOTORCROSS IN MY TEENS,BUT NOW IN MID 30S I MAINLY RIDE TRAILS, PITS, ECT...WITH MY 9YR OLD SON BUT STILL LOVE TO KICK IT WHEN PROMPTED IM 6.3 180LBS ANY INFO ON BIKES WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED PROS ,CONS, SUGGESTIONS

Hello and welcome on this fine board!! At first, could you please turn the 'caps lock' off, it's a bit like shouting you see!! So you want to take it back up again. The riding addiction keeps running in the blood isn't it!! I don't know about the prices for used bikes in your area, but I'm sure one of the other guys can help you out with it. If you're not sure on what brand to choose, maybe you can ask some friends or people you know to ride theirs just for a few minutes so you know which bike is best for you!!

You won't be happy with an older bike. Stick with your first choices the suspension today is far superior to that 1986 bike. That will make the biggest difference in the world. What kind of riding will be the majority of your riding trail riding? The WRs are very nice bikes with great suspension. You should also look at Suzuki DRZ 400 if you are going to do a lot of trail riding its a very good all around bike. Really they are all great bikes if they are 1999 and newer. Keep us posted on what you decide.

I agree go for a newer bike if you can. You can't compare an 86 model to a 99 and upwards model. You must also be careful about buying older bikes if they do go wrong it could end up costing you more than the bikes worth

I rode the 350, didnt like it. Look for a cheap on in cycle trader or something. Try ebay.

What is your budget? I have seen some great deals on used bikes lately. Try cycle trader if you haven't already. My friend is looking for a used WR250F and I found a range from $2800-$4500. The more expensive ones were 03's and had some really trick aftermarket parts/acessories that made a killer deal at $4500. Good luck and keep looking.

Thanks for straighting me out WHAT WAS I THINKING I bit the bullet and pissed the wife off after putting 75 miles on one this weekend I went down to my local dealer today and after 4 hrs of haggaling i got him down to 5999.00 on an 04 WR450 will post pictures when it comes in Thanks again Buzzen Cuzzin
