Default 2010 Four Stroke Bikes: What we know so far.

I was doing some surfing tonight on motocross.com and found that they actually have some info on the 2010 bikes, and more specifically, the 2010 250F bikes. Not all of them yet, but they did have info on the Green and Yellow.

Most notable is that the KX250F does NOT have EFI or DFI (digital fuel injection) as they like to call it. However, the RMZ250 DOES! I was a little surprised that Kawasaki didn't, but was not surprised about Suzuki, since they were the first with it on the 450.

The other notable I thought was the D shaped swing arm on the Kawi's. I still believe the Kawasaki's have the best suspension components of any bike. All the DLC, and inner coatings are just awesome. I just wish the ergo's weren't so weird (at least the older bikes were weird).

Anyway, Looks to be a pretty exciting year bike wise.

Here's the links to the first look.

Well Woody you know what my thoughts are on the Kwaka's The 08's and 09's we have owned are just awesome bikes out of the crate. Have never changed a fork seal with the DLC coated forks even after 150 hours no leaks and reliability has been excellant except for the cheesy chain guide on the 08's. I don't really care about the EFI not being on the 2010 model 250f, i have our carby bikes tuned just right, i know just what to do when it arrives, the day i need a lap top to tune i'll retire from being a, sponsor, mechanic, phsycologist, truck driver, whipping post, Roo road kill handler, and being on first name basis with the bank manager The boy's will have to do the lot

The 2010 RMZ250 only has 2 black number plates. other than that, I dont see THAT big of a difference....other than the EFI

It excites me even less considering I have rode a 09 KX 450 and a 09 CRF450...I like my bike so much better I am keeping it for another 2 years.....125 hours and a hole new head/pistion/valves.....I am happy with that.

Not bad... I'm afraid you may have the best honda CRF450 produced to date. I know I loved your bike.

Hmm, wonder if I could find a left over somewhere for cheap still ...

Good luck! I honestly called around here trying to find one....they are like gold apparently, everyone bought them up when the clutch issues started with the '09's. Thats part of the reason I decided to keep mine for another 2 years, I just love this thing.

I am interested in Yamaha's new 450 though....really curious to see what they really have going.

Jim is yours an 08? I can't remember now. I'm super happy with my current bike, I really don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon. I have contemplated selling it to buy a plated bike (KTM) but it seems like used bikes just aren't bringing crap for money still. I called the "local" dealer to see what they would give me for it because they had a "buy a 450, get a 50 free" promotion... but they wanted almost 9k for an 09 YZ and offered me a whopping $2100 for mine... freaking thing has less than 30 hours on it!

Really? I would of thought that's exceptional. They are racing machines and the way Jim rides I would be happy with that. Maybe buying a new head is a bit unexpected, I don't really know?

Ah yeh i was refering to the head, Our 08 Kawi just clocked 140 hrs hard riding still going strong, original valves. Will give it a new set before next season if i keep it, it's been a great bike. I too am not fond of EFI.

Im glad I still have the Yamaha, they are known for being reliable and normally exceed 100 hours without head work/top-ends.I rode Motoman's 08 450 and it was a hair faster than my YZF, but it felt smaller to me. The 08 really had a punch to the power that surprises you if not ready. Im sure the 2010 YZF's will be the bike to oogle over with the new design, hopefully that doesn't follow with new bike syndrome like the 09 Honda 450's. They have kept it such a secret and we won't know until Sept 8th!

It's the old saying, never buy the first year model. After all the hype with the 09 Honda super bike All they did was produce a bike that fit's a smaller rider, i hope Yamaha doesn't fall into the same trap.
