Perfectly said! You could have the best bike, the best suspension, best exhaust, titanium axles, but it depends how good of a rider that you are and that, will make the difference.

My D756 front last about a year also, and the rear lasts about 6 months depending if I am doing desert riding or not.

my front tire lasts a long time, i replace it every year and its not bald at all after one year!

YZ250F, more reliable than the Honda. For '05 MXA rated it the best 250f for best engine and suspension. It doesn't really matter though, which ever you get for the cheapest is the one to go for.

Just a little curious (and biased) but have you tried an RM-Z/KX-F? I own the yellow version and am quite smitten (Macho in case you are reading this, smitten means I really like it, not a smashed kitten on the side of the interstate .) with it. Once you dial in the suspension it is one superb motorcycle. However, I get the feeling there are plenty who won't agree with me, but I think most of that is just from reading magazines.
