I think i need a new back tire for my CR125, I bought a Kenda Millville, for the rear, but it doesnt seem to hook at all. My bike is by no means stock, but at the same time, i dont think its to the point where the tire should be slipping even when i blip the throttle. The tire has about 10 rides on it, and is made for intermediate to soft terrain, i ride mostly on grass, and various types of dirt. What do you guys think i should get, the size i have on right now is a 100/9019, could i put a wider tire on my rims?? or would this not help. Your help would be appreciated.

Hmmm... you should stay with size tire you have right now. Michelin are very good and hook up really well. If not Michelin I would go with Maxxis. They both last a really long time and are worth the money.

I used to use Dunlop's D739 and it hooked up well and a fairly durable. I just bought some Maxxis IT's (for intermediate terrain) so we will see how they do. Michelin is from what Ive heard a nice tire too, and Ive also heard good things about Bridgestone but there alot of money. Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. They are currently having a great deal on 125/250f Maxxis tires. Just go to tires then clearence I think(after you fill out info on your bike.) and look at the Maxxis IT's. Two weeks ago they still had that deal on the tires but who knows if there still doing it. Too lazy to find out for you -Pintlar-

I run a dunlop 756 in the front, and a maxxis IT in the rear.. Use to run a dunlop 756 in the rear, hooks up nicely, but wears out to fast.. The maxxis IT has the same pattern as a dunlop 756, and hooks up nicely unless your just on a very dry slick track.. Maxxis IT

Tracy and I use maxxis as they last longer then any tire I have ever used on all 4 of our bikes. They are very reasonble on the price so your wallet wont be hit that hard. As far as riding a wider tire...On a 125 the weight of the tire will make it lag like your losing power. hope this helps By the way Dunlop started to make a new tire called 952 i think. they are supposed to last longer.

I have a a kenda millville and it hooks up great but I put a 110/90/19 on my bike instead of a 100/90/19 that might be the reason.

I have D739 and it is doing GREAT!!! It is hard/intermediate and it is gripping better than anything I have ever had. I think you should go with hard/intermediate or just intermediate, IMO Dunlop and Bridgestone make the best.

I think you should go with michilin tires, they have great knobbies that are big and can last very long, i had both the dunlop and the michilin tire before and the michilin lasted close to twice as long as the dunlop did..

i have had a michelin b4 and it felt weird to me- the dunlop is a great tire as far as riding, it hooks up really well- but they r right- it does not last as long- i do buy a lot of them- i might have to try a michelin to see if i get more out of it
