Hey guys I just got a 1999 Rm 250. I was wondering what everyone was using for tires F&R, I ride mostly track sand and hard pack, there are only two tracks i goto starwest and chaullia, my friend uses the m12 f&r and i like it but its to unpredictable out of turns for me I has maxxis IT on it now and i hate them they are about 60% so it can wait but those tires suck for some reason even on a groomed track i don't feel confident, I used to run d952 f&r but im not sure that would be the best since its mostly moto now. any input is appreciated

I rode starwest alot, I always run dunlop 756r, and if you have alittle bit of extra money the 756rr. Both are solid tires, for the dirt at starwest and elsinore. they last long, and the tread is great; really makes the bike stick. you should try one of those. I use maxxis in the tracks in canyon lake(great place to ride). Those tires can really take a beating, but the tread pattern isnt that great. Hope that helps

I'm using the D745 120/80-19 and so far am impressed with it's ability to get good traction in hard pack and soft dirt. Seems to be wearing well. Much beter than the D952 which wore out in four rides. The D756 is good for traction but lousy for longevity. I have used the Pirelli 454 MH and am impressid with it's overall ability to last long and still get good traction. Downside is the knobs start ripping off istead of just wearing down, still good for 40 hours of hardpack though.
