Are stock silencer's good?

I was wondering if stock silencers are good. I have a 03 yz125 and i didn't know what a good silencer back when i baught the bike, and i baught the TurbineCore 2 silencer. And this pipe doesnt sound like the others on the track, like the shorty etc.. And i was wondering if i switched the TurbineCore 2 with my stock silencer, would it make a better performance and make it sound better? or no?

The TCII is a spark arrester and has additional parts inside of it. The stocker is straight through.

Yes. you will notice a sound and a slight performance difference between the two. There is no reason to run the TCII on the track.

If you have changed the jetting for the TCII, it will run lean with the stocker on.

I know the first thing they tell you to do with the KTM exc's stock silencer is to get rid of it as it weighs a ton.
