Default Sea Foam, And now problems.

I dont know if its related, But I just got done riding the bike and decided to add a cap full of sea foam to the tank. Went inside for about an hour than came back out to ride again.

The bike would not start for quite awhile, When I finally got it to start the overfill on the carb was pissing gas, I let it idle and it stopped, Then I hit the gas again and there it went on leaking.

The previous owner told me he had to change the float, so im thinking it could be something related to the sea foam cleaning out the carb and such.

The bike is a 1995 RMX 250.

EDIT: The bike only leaks out of overfill hose when revved, During idle there is no leak.

I doubt the Seafoam is the case of the problem. Sounds like a float issue to me.

I was hoping it was just coincadence, I dont wanna have to drain 2 1/2 gallons of gas.

Is adjusting the float a complicated procedure?

What I am asking is if there is a lot of parts that need to be removed.

I don't know anything about the Suzuki's. There should be plenty of info found on this site if you search for float adjustment.

Im not so mechanically handy with carbs so Im thinking of all the possibilities first.

Couldnt it be something other than the float? The bike only overfills upon rev, not idle. And the bike idles perfect no extra smoke or anything. Im thinking the seafoam loosened something up and now something is caught on the needle or something.

Either way you need to take the carb off and have a look.

Alright, Before I do that im gonna call the dealer and see if they had anything to do with it, Because when I got it home the idle was lower so they may have messed with the carb.

Dude...I was feeling sorry for you until this. Just because youre too lazy to get a manual, read up on the posts provided by Woody and take 10 mins of your life to take a look at the float-you want to place the blame on someone else? Pathetic. How would you like it if someone burned the fries at your job and blamed it on you to your boss?

I have a manual, Ive read up on the posts, I just dont feel confident taking off the carb and messing with it. I will get around to it eventually as I am in the process of selling another bike.

EDIT: I took the carb apart and cleaned it real well but my manual doesnt tell me what my float height should be, So im trying to find that out now before I put it back together.
