| I understand that you need to rev a two stroke to make it run like it should. I am guessing this is to say that you should stay high in 2nd gear as apposed to shifting into 3rd with not enough throttle to get you into the power band. But will keeping it at such as a gear as 2nd almost wide open put strain on my engine or trans? Last edited by Shoei_391; 05-08-2007 at 09:01 PM. |

| I think what you are thinking is holding it open. No no, you want to just keep bumping it open. When you watch the guys on the line in a race, they just roll it a few times to keep it cleaned out. If your sitting in a car, just hit the gas, hit it again, hit it again... etc...etc... Dont hold it to any set amount, hard to explain. Here, instead of holding it open like riding, do like you do when you first start it up. vroom.....vroom.....vroom.....vroom.... not vvvrrrrooooooooommmmmmm |
