Is this possible? 85 cr500/86 trx250r hybrid.

My friend and I just started a winter project building a go-kart out of his 86 trx250r. We have the complete 250r motor completely rebuilt, what we DONT have is the carb and electronics for it. We do have a carb and electronics off my old 85 CR500. My question is has anyone ever experimented with, or have any information about putting the 500 carb on the 250? Money is an issue and I can't find a used 250r carb anywhere. I was thinking with some tweaking we can get the carb to work but I dont know about the cdi and electronics. Does anyone have the specs from the 250 and 500 carb? Your help is appreciated thanks.

i put a cr500 carb on my 250.it worked great.if i'm not mistaken both are 32 mm carbs.your jettin will be different between the two bikes.

Thats great to know thanks! I figured it would have to be rejetted but we'll figure that out when the time comes.
