Default New FX Graphics for CR500....

My tank graphics came off recently, so the bike is getting a make-over. Here is the first part, and next will be numbers with new backgrounds.

How do you all like the FX EVO3 graphics? I still like the old ones I had on the bike, but they discontinued those.

Thanks, mang!

I have a crap ton of glue on my tank to clean off. I really have no clue what works best at getting that sticky stuff off, so if you have any tips then post'um up!

If I can't clean off the glue good enough, I may just buy all new plastics and a new tank.

I think there's some stuff called goof off or something like that. I've seen it at Home Depot, supposed to work well for that sort of thing...

The graphics look great.

alcohol and a non scratch scotchbrite pad! It cleans the tank and takes all the glue off at once. Neat little trick!

If you really want to get the goo off, go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a quart of MEK in the paint department. Wear some gloves, work outside, and the stuff will be off in 5 minutes.

Make sure you have dumped the gas out and let the tank air for a few days. Wash it with soap and water and rinse it really good. Then you are ready to put the graphics on.

I'm thinking about a set of those for my 96 CR250. I only have a choice of a few companies for a bike that age unless I get XGX to do a custom set.

That XGX place is cool! I didn't even know they were around until you posted that, and they do have CR500 stuff!

Nice graphics! When I want to get this glue out, I just use good quality gasoline on an old cloth. Keep the cloth wet, and rub the glue. It should come out easy.

Heading to the store now for the junk to get the bike cleaned up, so I should have pictures of the graphics on the bike by Tuesday night.

It's like 20-30F here, so should I take the parts inside and install the FX stuff at room temp (72-75F)?
