Keeping RPMS up

This is a discussion on Keeping RPMS up within the 2-Stroke Motorcycles - General Discussion forum, part of the 2-Stroke Motorcycle Forums category; Yeah I know it is imporant to keep your RPMS up...but wont keeping it wide open for a long period ...

Default Keeping RPMS up

Yeah I know it is imporant to keep your RPMS up...but wont keeping it wide open for a long period of time hurt your engine or trans?

Sure...if its bouncing off the rev limiter.. then I could see it hurting the engine.. but not the transmission

other wise, nope.

When "they" say keep your RPM's up, they don't mean all the way up to the point where you're going to kill your engine. You just need to keep them in the power range.
