funny you should ask. my bike was kind of weird. it sat WAY high, the suspension was really stiff...

but the motor was pretty good, and handled well. i can go into more detail if you like


i think my bike was out of the ordinary with the suspension... i mean it was so freaking tall!

but dont worry, the yz 125s have been dominated the shoot outs since the 01 model

ok, im going to do this like i did for my review for my 06 yz250f

Motor: the power was kind off / on, but its a 125, thats expected. the power really starts to come on in the mid range, and the top end power is A BLAST. it loves to be revved.

Suspension: when i got my bike, i did not mess with the clickers or anything which was pretty dumb. leaving it the way it was, the suspension was too stiff. it did soak up flat landings great though and handled anything i through at it


Handling: The handling is awesome. Its light weight and nimble, so you will have no problem leaning it over. Front end almost never washed out

Maintance: Although it did need a top end when I bought it, after that, I just cleaned the filter every other ride, and the oil every 3-5.



The only things I really didnt like about my bike was the seat height. i was 5'6 when I got it and could barely get on it (I never set the sag ) And it took me a while to get it jetted (mostly because I had no clue what I was doing)

Obviously the things I didnt like about this bike were clearly my fault

As you can see, this bike was AWESOME once I got it jetted and I would recommend it to you

99 rmk chassis with 98 xc 700 engine in it, shortened to 121" track, XC fox shocks, ad boivon ETS kit, misc other parts to make it a bad boy sled. currently looking for a set of twin pipes for it.


heres my 99 rmk 700, slp boost bottle, slp can (silencer) 5" fly pivot handle bar risers, stainless braided brake line, powermadd throttle extension, fly grips/bar pad, custom intake for better air flow, fox shocks all around, 98 xc seat, tons of things to make it look sweet... it likes the skis in the air!






my old sled, 98 xc 700 tore it apart in favor of building the 99 rmk/xc mut sled..
