Default I broke her in.

I brought my bike down to the trail behind my house. It was the very first time I started it since I got it back from the dealer 48 hours ago. It started first kick as usual which was one of my worries. It did not let me down. As I explained before it's first, second, third, fourth street all the way to eleventh and it goes at the end of my street (second) all the way along the streets to home depot so about two, or so miles. It's dirt with just very small inclines, maybe two or three. And I mean just barely changing inclines. I went thru all the gears as much as I could slowing down and downshifting even when unneeded, then up again. I didn't romp on nothing I gave it quite a few breaks. I also took out the plug, inspected it and put in a new one a few times because if you followed my threads I had the bike jetted for a pro circuit platinum two pipe a while ago but that pipe is on its way to piperepair.com so I put the stock one back for now. I still got the pro circuit shorty silencer on it and I like the way it sounds with that stock pipe! Anyway I checked the plug and it seemed fine, if anything to run slightly rich which is normal when new, or a rebuild. At the most I wound the gears 3/4 of the way but mostly about half. I rode like it was an XR100 for example. Just the trail, then the short street home. I was still careful but when I got to my street I wound it out a tad.. .... I couldn't help myself but I think even then it was slightly more then 3/4 I didn't pound it. So tomorrow I still will not go to the sandpits I will go back to the trail and do that prob 2 more times after with good breaks in between. I would say I rode for about 30 minutes in that trail but it's not exact because when I am on that thing time stops. You know, it still had that sound to it. I don't know how to explain it. Is it a ping? Is it detonation? I don't know what either of those sound like but it's the definitions I hear online. To me this sounds kind of like a ping I guess when I let off the throttle. It didnt do it an awful lot but did seem to do it towards the end more (cause it was warmed up maybe?) Anyway when I got home the plug seemed pretty white but I am almost positive I had just changed it before I got home so thats why. It wasn't a burned white it was a new white. I will do this again tomorrow and pay more attention to when I change the plug. When I did get home the guys behind my house were chopping down a tree in sections and looked like they needed help. I went over there with a six pack in hand and some rope in the other. I introduced myself and helped until it got dark out.. One less cock neighbor to call the cops on me when I ride because they know now I am a decent guy. The rest of these clowns can go to hell. I am registered and have the plates to prove it. When I got the bike I called the police department myself and said I wanted to do it the right way. I am not fifteen anymore. They told me I could ride anywhere I wanted as long as I was registered and it wasn't private property. So guess what. Let them be mad. I seen a cop before he seen me when I came out of the trail (always looking for them.) and I took off my helmet and walked the bike half home too (I usually just ride it.) I could see the look on the neighbors faces, they wanted me to get strung up. That's ok because this time I am sleeping with one ear open and if i see anyone near my bike I am going to come out shooting. Clownshoes. Looks like I am back in business.

Don't even get me started for the price I paid I should shoot him too. I love the way people take advantage of you when they know you need something. Things are all coming together nicely, although slowly, expensively and a little at a time. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow. I am breaking her in and then beating her up like a hooker in the morgue.

Default I brake for nothing.

I chased everyone away from my thread they are afraid if they type something wrong i'll come out shooting. What, people in big cities can't play with guns, I have to own a big chevy and live in the sticks?! I got more threats here in the city, hell i'll fight a coyote with my hands.

Well the bike is running great and for the price I paid I wouldn't accept anything less which is why I paid it. It's *all* OEM again. Thanks for all previous and knowledgable advice i'll be using it this time around that's for sure. It still has that ping but I think I am going to alter/experiment the ratio slightly. If I remember correctly when it ran 'rich' It wouldn't play ping pong with me.

Default I brake for trees sometimes

oh you can search for my threads. It's an 03' rm250 leftover I bought in november of 04'. 5 gears of pure powerband. I didn't take into consideration the hours I put on the bike, I took really good care of it but ultimately and unknowingly drove it into the ground. Piston shattered like my heart in the winter. I must have put an excess of a hundred hours on it. I thought if I needed rings or a piston i'd notice a loss in compression and the bike never acted up. I had it rebuild bottom and top and it still started first kick. I learned my $2,000 dollar lesson but she's new again, my maintenance schedule changed drastically and I learned a lot. It's my first bike unless you call that 1983 cr250 I had a bike. (no offense to age I bought it for $300 dollars in like 97'
