how much wear can you have on your case

I'm helping a friend work on a 95 kx 125 and we hade to split the case to chang the crang and whier the bearing sits in the case and wheir the crank is next to the case they are scratched and gorged realy bad just wondering if that is acibitaple our not thanks

A little scoring in the crank well is not going to kill much as long as it's smoothed out and not rubbing.

Gouges or scoring in the bearing seat, however, is not a good thing. It's not normal. Sounds to me like the bottom end was neglected and let loose in a big way at some time in the past.

The bearing seat should be pristine. If gouged, the new bearing will not be in the right spot or not retained properly - either problem can quickly destroy a new bottom end. i guess it depends on the severity.

Thanks for the help I'm trying to find a new case cous the orginal person who took it abart also got a little screw driver crazy and leaft some scratches to and as fair as wheir the bearing sits the more I try to clean it up the less that's their and their is a bad bearing in for sitting abart to long in a dirty garge unfourtntly I'm having a hard time finding a used case I live in the high desert any body no of any thing around hear?
