Help I think I blew a Crank seal???

I was going up a grade in fourth gear pinned and then pooof, like a sorta back fire, then i ride a little longer like a minute thinking that was weird, then heavy smoke comes from my exhaust and it stinks, like buirnt somthing, i know it's not coolant, is it the crank seal or could it be somthing else?

Sounds like you might have blown the right side crankseal....this will allow transmission oil to be sucked past the seal and into teh crankcase...then into the cylinder where it will be burned.

White smoke or blue smoke??? White smoke is crank seal.

Thats a new one to me...I have never seen any oil burn any color other than blue...whether it be premix oil,motor oil.

Matt,

Sometime burn some hyd./tranny oil and see what color of smoke you get.
