| Here's my problem. In the middle of my 1978 YZ400 I realized the new OE crank seals that I have look nothing like the old style from 1978 and I'm not sure witch way they go in. Some say the castle side with the tabs faces in towards the crank, others say the face out. I double checked and these are the proper seals. I'm guessing you the castle side faces towards the crank and the brown part of the seal is there for heat purposes or something? Also the right side seal uses two retainers that hold the seal in and don't fit/look right resting on the tabs. both sides of each seal have a spring.
