Default No-Toil filtration systems

I've been testing/using No-Toil since last season. I was a bit skeptical at first as many others have been apparently but I followed all advice given and this stuff is now going to be a product that I will continue to use as long as I ride. This product is first rate and makes a unenjoyable task a breeze. No more solvent, no more mess. It's awesome to say the the least.

You MUST use this stuff on a filter that has not been used with regular petroleum filter oils. I was in need of new filters anyway so I bought 4 of the No-Toil filters. They look thin, maybe even scary thin but after a year of repeated use they are in perfect shape and I have had NO dirt in my airbox since beginning to use No-Toil products. No-Toil can be used on most major filter brands and the one exception I was informed of was Uni. I don't use them anyway having preferred Twin Air in the past. Anyway, I'd not hesitate to replace my filters with No-Toil filters when and should I need to.

Cleanup is soooooo simple now. Using the No-Toil cleaner (which looks like a laundry detergent) mix it up in a ice cream bucket of hot water, soak and squeeze the filter clean, then rinse with hot water, chuck the filters in the dryer and out they come 15 minutes later squeaky clean, dry and ready to reoil. I have washed them out at the track before and when done you just dump it out on the ground and you have done nothing environmentally wrong!! Thats a nice touch to be able to do that at the track if you need to.

Honestly, I think anybody NOT using this stuff has their head in the sand! It's that good. I've heard people say they don't like it but with cleanup this easy I cannot understand why.

I will second Shocknut on this one.

No-Toil is awesome stuff, I first tried it about 2 years ago and never looked back.

Just bought a new one for the 450.

Buy it, buy it NOW!!!

Here is a post I read over at KTM Talk about what a member read in dirtrider:

"Anyone read DirtRider Mag. in the May 2003 p137 there is a interview with J.J. Petchel of PC Racing. Talking about No Toil He states "because it's such a lightweight [viscosity], it doesn't seem to filter as well". And later states "if you're riding on anything other than a watered motocross track, be aware that spray-ons and No Toil could be problematic". Any thoughts from anyone on this?

From all the replies I read after this post, all the users were very satisified with the product.

I purchased one last year for my 2000 KTM250exc and it didn't fit well, so I took it back and got a Twin Air.

I will 3rd the no toil product. I have been using since September and have been very happy with the results. Never had a bit of dirt in the air boot. Oiling took some time to get used to, but I was new to the game and now it is great and seems to do its job very well.

No-toil and stock filter for me.

I have used No Toil on my CRF since the first filter change. No dirt has passed thru in almost a year.

BTW, I was at the local Honda dealer yesterday and they had a suspicious looking pack of air cleaner oil, filter cleaner, and rim grease sitting on the rack. Picked it up, shook it, and thought "man that feels like the No-Toil stuff". Turned the bottles around and there it was.........."Produced for Honda by No Toil products". If Honda will put their name on it, I believe it is good enought to use on my CRF, Huskys, and Maicos. [COLOR]

Last but not least, .DO NOT USE IT ON UNI-FILTERS!! They will come apart due to No Toil using an alcohol base in the oil.[COLOR=red]DO NOT USE IT ON UNI-FILTERS

Hey, is this the same VintageDave that was at XDB? How ya doing? I laughed too hard at the sig line mister. "cat poop eating dawg" so does that mean no need to buy kitty litter? Ironically, my dog....well we have no cat anymore and won't have anytime soon.

So, Honda is private labeling No-Toil huh? Yamaha should be so smart.

You know what I really love, is that squeaky clean feel of the filter after the hot water rinse. You know you are sucking clean air through them every time. I cannot imagine using gas to wash a filter ever again.

I have a tub of that uh...rim grease too, but not so sure I like that terminology. I think Filter grease is more appropriate and we all know we us it on the sealing surface of the filter. Rim grease just has a bad ring to it, know what I mean?:

Rick probably has a big ol' tub of rim grease laying around too, being that he is a farmboy type and all. By that I mean it's probably what they call "bag balm".

Same Vintage Dave.

Yeah, the "rim grease" makes me nervous too. Every time I use it I am afraid I will start taking with a lisp.

The "cat poop eatin' dawg" is a tribute to our good friend EGO from NoCal. It's one of his trademark zingers, but I have a Sheepdog who has a real affinity for "protein bars" so it fits me too.

After Rick's recent ride at Splendora he could probably use some bag balm. As I remember he threw down almost 40 miles of motocross track in one day. Monkey Butt city!
