Mobil mx2t I have put 40 hrs on my 03 kx 250 running the mx2t at 36:1,I tore it down a couple nights ago. I can't really comment on the cylinder condition because of the plating peeling not the oils faught read in the kx forum. The piston looked good still within spec and no blow by,the rings moved very freely. The ring end gap was way out,but I cannot judge that because of the plating. The crank was very dry looking compared to the 927 and amsoil, I lost .001 rod side clearance from.019-.020 still with -in spec. The crank halves would not pick up oil like it woulkd with the 927 and amsoil. Rust was forming on the crank halves also, the crank was beautiful before I switced over to the mx2t.My bikes do not sit for more than a week like I said I know what my cranked looked like before the mx2t.I was looking at the klotz web site and I am now trying the r-50 looks like a very descent oil . Their website is excellent they give flashpoints and viscosity's of each oil, they also give a scale rating for the cleaniness ,smoke, and wear on each oil. So far I have not found a oil that touches the 927 as for lubrication, but the properties for the r-50 look excellent, along with hopefully cleaner powervalves when I strip them. Just a note I still love the mobil 1 for the tranny side.. |
