Get the Fuel screw from ATM. It's less then the storm cycle one and you are helping support the site while you're at it. It comes in whatever color you want as well.

SME Racing Products in the ATM store.

Hey Frakke, we're not getting these products to make our bikes hit harder, were getting them to clean up jetting, which in turn makes the bike's throttle response better. The difference between a hit and no hit is all in the wrist.

Besides, the engine isn't the only reason we ride RED!

Cowboy, we're in the motorcycle forum, so I'm not sure what red sleds and blue sleds have to do with it...

BTW, if you want more hit on your RED "Sled" (as cowboy calls them) just twist your wrist a little more...

Looks like you get to do some wrenching. It's super simple. Have fun

LOL, yeah, I mean mail

As far as doing it, I've changed jets and clips on my baby already, so yeah it won't be hard at all. I'm waiting until I get my fuel screw first to do it, since I'm going to do it all at the same time.

I'm very excited about it though.

While I was at it, and knowing I'd be messing with my carb anyway, I went a head and ordered an SME Fuel Screw . I ordered it in Red.

Here's how it looks in gold:

While I was at it... (my wife is going to kill me) I got myself 2 Red SME Billet Oil Filler Caps.

Little more Bling Bling for the CRF!

Sweet!! You know I can get jetting kits for dealer cost right? Not sure about the JD one though. I'd like to get me one of those fuel screws myself.

Nice Woody!!!!!!!!! Blingety Bling Bling

I think a fuel screw is in my future too. I have been thinking about the JD kit for a while now. Your ride report with the JD kit might push me over the top. I have nothing but time to do the work right now. I am also getting one of the fork screw adjuster things for adjusting the clickers under the bars when I make the purchase.

The JD kits are only available on TT or his site. They are not standard needles either. They are custom for the bike.

I bet he'll have some for the YFZ if someone showed some interest in them. He does have them for the YZF, which might just work. After I ride it of course, I'll know if they are worth it or not.

and I don't have any idea if they make the same improvements on the YZ as they do on the CRF, but I'll bet it's close.

I think I'll reaaaaaallly like the fuel screw. The current adjustment method just stinks.

Thanks Dane.

I'll give a full report after Mesquite. Bates and I are going to ride them back to back and see what we think.

Oh and since bates didn't say. He also bought a fuel screw today too. Woo Hoo.

They are only $17 or so, and If you've ever adjusted your fuel screw, that $17 is worth it's weight in GOLD

I have no fuel screw on it. My mechanic has done some jetting on it but I don't know if it was richer or leaner. It was done before I bought it. It runs good I think. It pulls my arms real hard so I think it's ok. In a few weeks I have my thunderalley. I'll keep you updated on that. Real excited about that one!!!

I'm also very curious to see what Woody thinks about his first ride with the JD kit. What set up are you going with Woody? I'm using the standard set up (red needle 5th clip #178 main). I want to try the blue needle and compare. James Dean sez the Blue needle at the 3rd/4th clip is very close to the red at the 5th clip. The difference being the red gives more top end perfomance while the blue pulls better down low. Thats probably why a lot of riders prefer the blue setup on a track. Have fun testing
